Whether you want to build something of your own, drive strategy through analytics, or step into executive leadership, an MBA opens the door to careers that shape organizations and industries.
Here’s where this degree can take you:








Deadlines: April 15 for summer, June 15 for fall, or December 1 for spring
Application Fee: The nonrefundable application fee is $75. UMass Boston alumni and current students that plan to complete degree requirements prior to graduate enrollment can submit the application without paying the application fee.

One Price Tuition Option (OPTO) MBA
Students have numerous flexible tuition options to choose from when pursuing their MBA at UMass Boston. One new opportunity is the One Price Tuition Option (OPTO), an MBA with a locked-in tuition rate of $25,000*. MBA students can opt-in to this program any time before the start of their second semester and have up to five years to complete the degree. This guaranteed tuition option is designed for flexible online learning but allows students to take up to two face-to-face classes. International students can take up to two face-to-face classes a semester to meet International students' F1-visa requirements. Contact your advisor to learn more.

Track Options
Students can deepen their expertise by pursuing a track, which offers focused coursework in a specific area of business. Tracks appear on the official transcript and require three electives (9 credits) instead of the standard two (6 credits), bringing the total program to 39 credits. Choose from the following:

Complete 36 or 39 credits (12 to 13 courses), including 10 required business courses (30 credits) and 2 to 3 electives (6 to 9 credits).
Track (optional): Students may choose to declare a track in one of 5 areas: accounting, business analytics, digital marketing, finance, or leadership and organizational change. Tracks appear on the official transcript and require three electives (9 credits) instead of the standard two (6 credits), totaling 39 credits.
Focus Areas (optional): In addition to the official tracks, students can take electives in the following focus areas: environmental management and sustainability, information systems, international management, marketing, and supply chain and service management. Students pursuing a focus area must also complete three electives (9 credits), bringing the total program to 39 credits. Focus areas do not appear on the transcript.
Capstone: Completion of a written paper as part of MBAMGT 689.
