Economics Minor

Complement Your Studies With a Practical Economics Minor.

Why do the rich get richer while the poor get poorer? How do large international firms affect wages, technology, and economic development? What caused the Great Recession? Economics seeks to answer these questions and many more. If these topics intrigue and excite you, consider pursuing a minor in Economics.

Through UMass Boston’s Economics Minor, you’ll develop an understanding of economic theory, including micro and macroeconomic principles, and data analysis. You’ll learn how to apply economic principles to real-world problems while preparing for a career in business, finance, government, and more.
