Biography

John Hess taught in Beijing at the Beijing Information, Science, and Technology University (BISTU) and met with the English language faculty from May 22 to June 4, 2014. He is the first University of Massachusetts Boston faculty member to go to BISTU.

Since 2013, John has taught 6 times at Shaanxi Normal University in Xi'an, China in the Summer Graduate School. During the 2014 summer session he taught about slavery in America.
