Biography

Dr. Shijuan Chen is an Assistant Professor at the School for the Environment, University of Massachusetts Boston. She is a remote sensing scientist specializing in monitoring land system change. Her research focuses on tracking land system changes and examining their drivers and impacts. Using remote sensing and geospatial science, she studies land changes, such as forest degradation, shifting agriculture and urbanization. Her work seeks to better understand human-environment interactions.

Dr. Shijuan Chen is an Assistant Professor at the School for the Environment at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
