New Student To-Do List:
1. Visit My Health Beacon Portal
The My Health Beacon Portal is a secure system for scheduling/canceling appointments, messaging providers, uploading immunization records, and viewing immunization compliance status.
2. Review Your Portal and Update Your Information
Review the information on the portal's homepage for important details about its functionalities.
- Select the "Profile" tab to ensure your information is accurate and up-to-date.
- You can also edit your phone number and select your phone carrier to receive text reminders for messages and appointments.
3. Submit Immunization Records and Tuberculosis Risk Assessment
A majority of students are required to submit documentation of several vaccinations and screenings. All students are required to submit the TB Risk-Screening Form. The "IMM" registration hold is placed in early October (for fall) and in March (for spring), which indicates that Health Services does not have your up-to-date documentation on file.

4. Consent to Treat Minor Patient Form (Students Under 18 Upon Arrival)
MA law requires parental consent for the medical care of minors. If the student is under 18, complete the Consent to Treat Minor Form.
- Submission Options:

5. Review Mandatory Health Insurance
Confirm or waive the Student Health Insurance via WISER. Failure to act by the deadline results in automatic enrollment.

6. Bystander Intervention Training Module
DEADLINE: October 1, 2024.
UMass Boston provides mandatory training to equip students with skills to intervene in situations of harassment or sexual violence. All students must complete this training in their first semester regardless of their enrollment status or program type.
You will receive an email from Get Inclusive (umasseducation@education.umassp.edu) with a link to the training, which takes about 20-30 minutes to complete. Failure to complete this module by the October 1, 2024 deadline will result in a "WEH" registration hold being placed, blocking course registration.
Once the module is completed, it can take up to 48 hours for the hold to be removed.
