Communication, as an academic field, boasts exceptional diversity. It draws from a multitude of scholarly influences, including psychology, sociology, cultural studies, economics, library science, rhetoric, language studies, and cultural anthropology. Employing diverse research methods such as quantitative and qualitative social scientific approaches, rhetorical and discourse analysis, content analysis, semantic analysis, and critical methods, the field shares a common thread—its unwavering focus on the conveyance of meaning.
