Join us for an inspiring discussion with Maria Vasco, founder of Uvida, Boston’s first zero-waste, plastic-free store. Learn about the impacts of plastic waste, the growing entrepreneurial opportunities in sustainability, and the simple ways individuals can support the zero-waste movement. An alumna of UMass Boston’s Environmental Studies and Sustainability program, Maria launched Uvida in 2020. Her work has earned major recognition, including the JFK Award and a 2024 Boston XChange Award. This event is open to all UMass Boston students, faculty, staff, and alumni!
