The Future Beacon Joint Admissions Program at Bunker Hill Community College

The Future Beacon Joint Admissions Program at Bunker Hill Community College makes it easy to enroll at Bunker Hill Community College and then earn your bachelor’s degree at UMass Boston after completing your associate degree. UMass Boston and Bunker Hill Community College have established a partnership that will allow you to simultaneously enjoy the resources and support of both BHCC and UMass Boston while enrolled at BHCC.

Benefits:

  • If you’ve already applied to UMass Boston, no need to fill out an additional application. UMass Boston will share your information with Bunker Hill.
  • In addition to the advising resources and support offered at Bunker Hill, you will have additional support about all transfer planning from UMass Boston's Transfer Enrollment Counselor.
  • Early access to UMass Boston’s campus and resources including a BeaconCard Student ID, in-person and online Healey Library resources, on-campus student events, campus Wifi, and Beacon Fitness Center.
  • When you are ready to transfer to UMass Boston, you will be able to take advantage of a streamlined application, early course registration, and additional financial benefits!
  • Students in the Future Beacon Joint Admissions Program benefit from UMass Boston’s financial commitment to Bunker Hill students, including dedicated scholarship opportunities and enrollment deposit waivers.

Participation:

  • If you’ve already applied to UMass Boston, complete the opt-in form located in your Beacon Gateway which will allow UMass Boston to send your application to Bunker Hill. Once Bunker Hill has processed your application, they will send you information to formalize your participation in the program.
  • If you’ve not yet applied to UMass Boston, contact Bunker Hill to express your interest in the program by emailing admissions@bhcc.edu or calling 617.936.8776.

Note: Successful completion of the Future Beacon Joint Admissions program does not guarantee admission to the Traditional Nursing (RN-BS program is eligible), Engineering, or Management (Business) programs at UMass Boston. Other majors or programs may also be excluded based on limited availability or special requirements.
