Additional Information
We primarily use X-ray crystallography coupled with biophysical and biochemical techniques to study the structures and functions of important biological systems, and most recently we are expanding into the area of cryo-electron microscopy to study certain systems. Our current research focuses on the following main areas:
- Mechanisms of hypermodification of nucleobases within DNA.
- Bacterial flavoproteins involved in sulfur acquisition from organosulfur compounds.
- Metalloenzymes as therapeutic targets.
- Natural product biosynthesis.
