Additional Information

The Evans group is a biological mass spectrometry laboratory.  Currently, the group focuses on three main themes; using advanced methodologies to measure differential protein expression levels of complex protein extracts using 2D-HPLC-MS3, developing an LC-MS platform for the comprehensive speciation of complex mixtures of oils and fats, and investigating the biochemistry of cuticle crosslinking using LC-MS through a longstanding collaboration with the Sugumaran laboratory.  We also run the core proteomics facility at UMass Boston and collaborate with various UMass Boston labs to provide support for protein identification, post-translational modification analysis, and accurate high resolution molecular weight confirmation.
