Additional Information

Kaitlyn Siner-Cappas brings a strong background in public relations, as well as highly developed writing and teaching skills, to her role as SGISD's program manager. Her responsibilities include student recruitment, course coordination, and serving as a liaison between SGISD and other schools and departments at UMass Boston. She works closely with the Marketing & Communications team at the Institute for Community Inclusion (ICI), a research and training institute housed within SGISD. Kaitlyn is also the graduate program director for the MA and PhD programs in global inclusion and social development at SGISD.

Kaitlyn previously served as an instructor of composition and as a writing tutor for UMass Boston undergraduates. Prior to joining SGISD and the ICI, she helped international artists acquire visas to perform in the United States. She has also worked as a publicist and in a public relations role at a strategic communications company. In addition to her role at SGISD, Kaitlyn is working toward her EdD in higher education at UMass Boston.

Kaitlyn coordinates SGISD's two partnerships with the U.S. Peace Corps: the Coverdell Fellows Program, and Peace Corps Prep.
